MALINDI EXCURSIONS

If you have a day to spend in Malindi, on transit or having a break off, a day or more, you can tour Malindi or do short Kenyan safaris. 1: HALF DAY MALINDI TOUR

Begin the tour with a visit to the great Portuguese historical monument Vasco Da Gama Pillar built in 1498, Pay a visit also to the Portuguese chapel the first Christian church in East Africa built in 1509, to carter for only 60 Portuguese present at the time. St Francis Xavier, a founding member of Jesus society visited Malindi in 1542, and buried one of his sea men at the chapel, on his way to India. 2: HALF DAY BUSH TOUR, GEDE & WATAMU

A guided tour to a local Giriama village where you will be welcomed by local traditional songs and even get a chance to dance, get a closer contact with the people going about their daily lives activities, “African way of life”, visit a local medicine man get to know the various medicinal herbs and charms used for generations.
Tour the intriguing Gede Ruins an ancient town inhabited by the Swahili and Arabs relatives centuries ago and abandoned in the 16th century later visit the Gede butterfly pavilion sum up the tour with a visit to Watamu town then back to your hotel.

3: FULL DAY MARINE PARK & HELLS KITCHEN (DEVILS KITCHEN)

It’s one of the intriguing and breath taking tour, most recommend and highly preferred local excursion.
Picked up at place of your say and head to the world recognized Watamu/Malindi National Marine Park, board a glass bottom boat view the different colourful tropical fish, the rich coral garden, swim and snorkel at times with the dolphins later proceed to a small beautiful island famously known as “Sardenia due”, mostly available when the tide is low, settle for delicious lunch prepared as you watch.
Sea food lunch which may include mainly crabs, prawns, lobster, fish and rice, there after board the boat back and depart to Marafa’s Hell’s Kitchen.

4: HELL'S KITCHEN

An astonishing tourist site formed due to geological effects of the world, where hard and soft stone were eroded by wind, rain and torrents forming huge deep gorges and long chimneys, offers a perfect sunset view, later in the evening return back to you place of stay.
